Peter O. Mahler

After completing his textile studies, Peter O. Mahler—who initially worked for major names in the German textile industry—founded Private Fashion Trade GmbH in 1993 together with two partners; the company exclusively launched the *peter o. mahler* collection. Since then, the *peter o. mahler* label has been consistently established in the market, such that its client base today comprises approximately 200 specialist retailers in the avant-garde sector across Europe, Russia, North America, and Australia.

In 1997, Peter O. Mahler opened his first eponymous store in Düsseldorf’s antiques district, just two minutes from the *Kö*. Since the year 2000, Peter O. Mahler has lived and worked in Berlin. That same year, he opened his first store there in the immediate vicinity of the *Ku’damm*. A second store followed in 2008 in Berlin-Mitte, located in the trendy *Scheunenviertel* district not far from *Hackescher Markt*.
